Scribner -- Staver

Shannon Lee Scribner of Burbank and Douglas Macfarlane Staver of

Los Altos were married at All Saints Episcopal Church in Carmel.

The maid of honor was Laura Younkman. The bridesmaids were Kristal

Bowman-Carter, Kelly Patton, Shawn Williams, Melissa Jacobson and

Kerensa Maiden.

The groom’s brother, David Staver, was the best man. Groomsmen

were Kevin Cooper, Dane Golden, the bride’s brother Bobby Scribner

and Chris Quimby.

Guests enjoyed a reception at the Mission Ranch in Carmel

overlooking the water. Live music was played by the Black Market Jazz

Band.

The couple spent a two-week honeymoon in the British Virgin

Islands and are living in Arlington, Va.

Shannon is the daughter of Martha and Robert Scribner of Burbank.

She graduated from Burbank High School in 1987. She received her

bachelor’s degree from Cal State Northridge and her master’s in

public administration from American University in Washington, D.C.

She is employed by OxFam America as an advocate and lobbyist for

social-justice issues.

Douglas is the son of Nancy and Robert Staver of Los Altos. He

received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and his

master’s in business administration from the University of

Rochester’s Simon School of Business. He is employed by American

Management Systems Inc. as a business analyst.
