Arenas -- Barrett
Michelle Arenas of Granada Hills and Sean Gabriel Barrett of
Glendale have announced their engagement and plan to marry in July.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gladys Valencia of Granada
Hills. She was raised in Glendale and graduated from Holy Family High
School in Glendale in 1999. She will soon graduate from Mount St.
Mary’s College in Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in psychology
and a minor in child development.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Richard and Ginger Barrett of
Glendale. He also was raised in Glendale and graduated from St.
Francis High School in 1998. He received a bachelor’s degree in
graphic design from Loyola Marymount University in 2002.
Keane -- Ott de Vries
Robert and Maureen Keane of Burbank announce the engagement of
their daughter, Marguerite, to Patrick Ott de Vries. An August
wedding is planned.
Marguerite is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University. She has a
master’s degree from Williams College in Massachusetts and received
her doctorate in art history from UC Santa Barbara. She is employed
in the Department of Manuscripts at the J. Paul Getty Museum in
Brentwood.
Patrick is the son of Henk and Irene Ott de Vries of Lake Gregory,
Calif. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Cal Poly
Pomona. He is a technical marketing manager for the Iomega Corp. in
La Jolla.
The couple plans to make their home in San Diego.
