Weekend of Horrors comes to town

AIRPORT DISTRICT -- Top rated terror talent comes to Burbank for

Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors, featuring film previews, celebrity

panels and vendors. Guests scheduled to appear include Wes Craven,


the director of the “Scream” trilogy, and Bruce Campbell, star of the

“Evil Dead” trilogy.

The event is from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the

Burbank Airport Hilton, 2500 Hollywood Way. Tickets cost $20 each


day, and are available through Ticketmaster or at the door for $25.

Store hosts book signing

NORTHWEST DISTRICT -- Dark Delicacies bookstore will host a book

signing featuring several authors.

Author David Morrell, whose work includes “First Blood” and

“Rambo,” will sign copies of his latest book, “The Protector.” Other

writers, including Brian Lumley and Lisa Morton, will also be on hand


to sign their work.

The event begins at 7 p.m. May 31 at Dark Delicacies, 4213 W.
