MARY ANN GILIBERTO

Mary Ann Giliberto, 70, died May 22, 2003, in Burbank.

She was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Tallulah, La., and was a longtime

Burbank resident.

Mrs. Giliberto is survived by her sons, Joe and Tony; eight

grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian burial is at 10 a.m. today at St. Robert

Bellarmine Catholic Church, 133 N. Fifth St. Interment follows at the

San Fernando Mission Cemetery, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills.

Valley Funeral Home is in charge of direction.

THOMAS JOSEPH LANNEN

Thomas Joseph Lannen, 49, died May 24, 2003, in Los Angeles.

He was born July 22, 1953, in Los Angeles and grew up in Burbank.

Mr. Lannen was the first federal public defender for Los Angeles

ever hired directly out of law school.

He was also the chief prosecutor of Guam for about five years

beginning in 1983. He remained on the Pacific island for the

remainder of his life and worked as a business lawyer.

Mr. Lannen is survived by his wife, Chikako Yanagida; daughters,

Molly, Rachel, Meghan and Tomoko; his mother; three brothers; and a

sister.
