TV star helps adult day-care center
BURBANK VILLAGE -- French Stewart, co-star of the TV series “Third
Rock from the Sun,” will lead a special benefit performance of “The
Nerd” Wednesday at the Colony Theater.
The proceeds of the 7:40 p.m. show will be donated to the Burbank
Adult Service and Resource Center Day Care for seniors with
Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke disability and
dementia. The theater, at 555 N. Third St., will also host a silent
action 6 p.m. before the show.
In addition to TV acting, Stewart has appeared in various movies
including “Inspector Gadget 2,” “Clockstoppers” and “Love Stinks.”
The center is the only nonprofit adult day care service in
Burbank. The Schutrum-Piteo Foundation sponsors the event.
Tickets are $35, $20 for seniors 55 and older. To order tickets

Delicacies hosts mass book signing
NORTHWEST DISTRICT -- Local horror genre bookstore Dark Delicacies
will present 15 authors during a book signing today in honor of Book
Exposition America convening in Los Angeles.
The authors at the 7 p.m. signing are Brian Lumley, David Morrell,
F. Paul Wilson, Michael Reeves, Joe Nassise, Madame M., Tamara
Thorne, Terrill Lankford, Harry Shannon, John Skipp, Staci Layne
Wilson, Cecilia Tan, Lisa Morton, Konstantinos, and Weston Oschse.
