City seeks applicants for youth committee
CIVIC CENTER -- The City Council is accepting applications through
Friday for the Youth Endowment Services Fund Committee.
The five-member group is charged with encouraging and supporting
activities that benefit Burbank’s youth.
All city board, commission and committee members serve without
compensation and must be registered voters living in Burbank. No one
can serve on more than one board, commission or committee.
Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office at City
Hall, 275 E. Olive Ave., or at www.ci.bur- bank.ca.us. For

The five-member board recommends long-range general plans for the
city’s development, including granting or denying permits and
variances.
All city board, commission and committee members serve without

Kindergarteners celebrate Flag Day
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- Kindergarten students from Linda Walmsley’s
class at Roosevelt Elementary School will celebrate Flag Day with a
musical program beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday in the children’s room
at the Buena Vista branch library.
After they perform, the children and their parents will hear a
story in the library and receive a gift from the librarian. All
children will be dressed in red, white and blue, some wearing hats
and displaying flags.
The public is welcome to attend. The library is at 300 N. Buena
Vista St.

Wildlife Way Station meeting to take place
AIRPORT DISTRICT -- The Angeles National Forest Wildlife Way
Station is conducting a Town Hall meeting from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday
at the Hilton Burbank Airport and Convention Center, 2500 N.
Hollywood Way.
A program from 3 to 5 p.m. will update attendees about the
station’s challenges of meeting county, state and federal
regulations, and the progress being made to meet those requirements.
A raffle will be conducted for $25 per ticket. First prize is a
pair of Delta Air Lines business elite tickets to New York City worth
$7,000.
Advance registration is a donation of $35, or $50 at the door. For
