Kiwanis pause for Flag Day

The Burbank Noon Kiwanis Club’s seventh annual Pause for the Pledge

of Allegiance Program begins at 3 p.m. today at the Burbank Tennis

Center in McCambridge Park, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd.

The Burbank Community Band will play for 30 minutes, followed by

an awards presentation to 15 student finalists in the club’s

patriotic poster contest.

Members of Boy Scout Troop 204 will recount the development of the

American flag, and at 4 p.m., the audience will pause with people

across the country to pledge allegiance to the flag.

The program concludes with the band playing “The Star-Spangled

Banner.”
