Carolyn Brown of Burbank, a student at John Burroughs High School,

has received a scholarship from Cal Poly Pomona’s Kellogg University

Scholars program. The scholarship is renewable over four years, and

can total $10,000 over the course of her education at Cal Poly

Pomona.

Molly Raine, a 1999 graduate of Burbank High School, has graduated

magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Redlands,

earning a bachelor’s degree in environmental management. She was

named to Omicron Delta Kappa national scholarship organization, and

the Order of Omega, which honors the top three percent of

fraternity/sorority students across the country.

Raine studied in Australia, New Zealand and Belize. She played

women’s soccer for four years, scored the winning goal in Redlands’

first-ever NCAA tournament victory, and was a SCIAC Conference Player

of the Week. She was also named to the All-Conference track relay

team.

She was a repeat recipient of the Highest GPA Award.
