RANCHO DISTRICT

* 1200 block of South Mariposa Street: A 47-year-old Glendale man

reported Wednesday that he was riding a horse when a man on another

horse passed and hit him with his forearm. The alleged assailant rode

away following the incident. Police said the parties involved have

had an ongoing dispute on the trails.

MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH

* San Fernando Boulevard and Buena Vista Street: A man was

arrested late Wednesday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and

leaving the scene of an accident. The man was turning left onto a

freeway on-ramp when he collided with a motorcycle, causing minor

injuries to the driver. He continued onto the freeway before exiting

and eventually pulling over near the corner of Olive Avenue and

Glenoaks Boulevard, where he was arrested.

NORTHWEST DISTRICT

* 1051 W. Burbank Blvd.: A 44-year-old Glendale man reported

Tuesday that $1,000 worth of cigarettes was stolen from the trunk of

his car in the Costco parking lot. He told police he bought the

cigarettes from a wholesaler before going to the store. When he came

out, he found someone had punched out the lock of his trunk and

stolen the cigarettes.

SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT

* 200 block of West Verdugo Avenue: A 67-year-old Burbank woman

was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of punching and kicking a police

officer who was taking her husband into custody. Her husband, a

65-year-old Burbank man, was taken into custody following a citizen’s

arrest by a neighbor who said he pushed her. Police said the incident

is part of an ongoing dispute between neighbors.
