Eight arrested in restaurant brawl

Burbank Police arrested eight people for allegedly participating in a

brawl that included 20 people throwing plates and using broken

bottles as weapons.

Employees at Robert’s Cuisine, 137 S. Glenoaks Boulevard, called

police about 12:30 a.m. Sunday to report the melee. When police

arrived, several patrons at the rear door allegedly attempted to

block police from entering. Police said it took officers about 20

minutes to bring the fight under control. A woman at the restaurant

and a man who left prior to the arrival of police were treated for

cuts and released, police said.

Police arrested 24-year-old Grigor Arabyan of Burbank, 40-year-old

Araik Asaturovich of Glendale and 20-year-old Raluca Merisoreanu of

Encino on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. They also

arrested five men on suspicion of obstructing arrest for attempting

to prevent police from entering the building.

Police said they are still invest- igating the cause of the brawl,

and one suspect remains at large.
