The following incidents were taken from police reports:

AIRPORT DISTRICT

* 10850 Sherman Way: City officials reported Thursday that copper

wire and electronic equipment were stolen from a power station. The

theft occurred sometime after the station was last checked June 11,

and the thieves gained entrance to the area by cutting and peeling

back a chain-link fence.

NORTHWEST DISTRICT

* 2400 block of West Victory Boulevard: A 40-year-old man and a

35-year-old man, both from North Hollywood, were arrested Wednesday

on suspicion of breaking into Direct Cigarettes and stealing a box of

cigarettes. Officers went to the location after receiving a tip about

suspicious activity, and allegedly found the men just outside the

door of the store with a box of cigarettes.
