Charity League Ticktockers honored

Thirteen Ticktockers of National Charity League, Burbank Chapter

were recognized for six years of community service during the annual

Senior Presentation at the Hilton Glendale.

They donated more than 8,600 hours of their time to local

organizations including the Burbank Temporary Aid Center, YMCA Child

Care Center, Burbank Center for the Retarded, Beverly Manor

Convalescent Hospital, American Red Cross and Burbank Tournament of

Roses Assn.

Shaylee Jo Blatz, a five-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of Burbank High School where she was a member of

the Impressions Show Choir. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Richard Blatz.

Samantha Noelle Cardenas, a six-year member of Charity League, is

a graduating senior of John Burroughs High School where she was a

member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Samuel

Cardenas and Jami Fosgate.

Caralynn Isabel Clayton, a six-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of Village Christian School where she was awarded

Most Professional in Fashion Merchandising. She is the daughter of

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Clayton.

Kathryn Celeste Cooper, a six-year member of Charity League, is a

graduating senior of John Burroughs High School where she was an

Honor Roll student. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cooper.

Amberle Elizabeth Cwik, a six-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of John Burroughs High School where she was the

varsity cheerleading captain. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Ronald Cwik.

Kelli Lynn Forsch, a six-year member of Charity League, is a

graduating senior of Burbank High School where she was a member of

the GATE program. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Forsch.

Jillian Marie Hensiek, a six-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of Burbank High School where she was a member of

the golf and track teams. She is the daughter of Barry Hensiek and

Linda Wilson.

Heather Sayuri Hishinuma, a six-year member of Charity League, is

attending Cal State Los Angeles through the early acceptance program.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hishinuma.

Elizabeth Ann Lilly, a six-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of Burbank High School and was named Most Dedicated

member of the Impression Show Choir. She is the daughter of Dr. and

Mrs. Bruce Lilly.

Amanda Niss, a five-year member of Charity League, is a graduating

senior of John Burroughs High School where she was a CIF

scholar-athlete. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Niss.

Kristin Nicole Talamantes, a six-year member of Charity League, is

a graduating senior of Burbank High School and was named Most

Valuable Player on the softball team. She is the daughter of Mr. and

Mrs. Jess Talamantes.

Kellie Anne Van Pelt, a six-year member of Ticktockers, is a

graduating senior of John Burroughs High School where she was

co-captain of the varsity cheerleading team. She is the daughter of

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Van Pelt.

Lisa Nicole Williams, a six-year member of Charity League, is a

graduating senior of John Burroughs High School and was named

Defensive Player of the Year for three years on the varsity soccer

team. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Williams.

Chapter President Dana Brooks explained the mission of National

Charity League, which is to foster the mother-daughter relationship

through community service, leadership development and cultural

experiences.
