Two stabbed in apparent gang conflict
A confrontation between what police believe were two groups of Los
Angeles gang members left two young men hospitalized with stab
wounds.
The incident happened Sunday morning at 1:18 a.m. in the 100 block
of North San Fernando Boulevard. Police said a group of men were
walking along the sidewalk when another group of men pulled up in a
car and an argument ensued. A 19-year-old man and 17-year-old boy, both of Los Angeles, were stabbed in the back before the suspects
drove away, police said. They were taken to County-USC Medical Center
in Los Angeles for treatment, but police said their injuries were not
life-threatening.
Police arrested five young men ranging in age from 18 to 22 on
suspicion of being involved in the stabbing. Both the suspects and
victims appeared to be gang members from the city of Los Angeles,
police said.
