Burghdorf named new community relations manager for airport
Burbank resident Lucy Burghdorf has been named manager of community
relations for the Burbank-Glendale- Pasadena Airport, it was
announced Friday.
Burghdorf was promoted from community-relations officer at a
special Airport Authority meeting Thursday. As community relations
officer, she marketed the airport’s residential acoustical-treatment
program, and personally signed up more than 1,300 homeowners to have
their homes insulated.
“Her contact with our neighbors in the insulation program has been
integral to the program’s success, and I am sure the airport’s role
in the broader community will be enhanced by Lucy’s efforts in her
new position,” Airport Authority Executive Director Dios Marrero
released in a statement.
Burghdorf, who is vice chairwoman of the Burbank Transportation
Commission, is a graduate of the 2003 Leadership Burbank program, and
serves on the advisory board of the National Federation of the Blind
of California.
