Sara Pauline Miceli, the daughter of Dawna...

Sara Pauline Miceli, the daughter of Dawna and James Miceli of

Burbank, has graduated from the UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s

degree in history.

She was involved in Gamma Phi Beta Sorority where she was the alum

relations chairwoman, financial vice president and chapter relations

vice president. She was given the opportunity to represent her

sorority numerous times at the biannual Regional Leadership

Conference and at the 2002 International Convention in Washington,

D.C.

Sara was also the treasurer of Phi Alpha Theta, the national

history honor society, during her senior year.

In addition, Sara was among the 32 senior graduates of the

Leadership Certificate Program.

While at UCSB, Sara worked for the past three years at the

Graduate Division as a financial assistant to the fellowship

coordinator. Sara was a 1999 graduate of John Burroughs High School.

Rebecca Sanchez, daughter of Rigoberto Sanchez and Milagros

Vasquez of Burbank, has been named an All-American Scholar by the

U.S. Achievement Academy for achieving a 3.3 or higher grade-point

average. She attends David Starr Jordan Middle School.

Her grandparents are Luis Carreno and Rebeca Vasquez of Burbank

and Francisco Sanchez and Margarita Sanchez of Monte Escobedo,

Mexico.

Lisa Marie Palermo, daughter of Donna and Ross Lowande of Burbank,

graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of

San Diego. She maintained the dean’s scholarship all four years and

was named to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She

received the Accounting Society’s Outstanding Member Award and

departmental honors in accountancy.

She is pursuing her master’s degree in the accountancy and

financial management program at the University of San Diego.
