FRANCES MURPHY SCOTT

Frances Murphy Scott, 83, died July 23, 2003, in Newbury Park.

She was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Sterling, Kan., and was a longtime

resident of Burbank.

Mrs. Scott and her late husband, T. Dean Scott, owned

Glendale-based businesses Nesbitt Bottling Company, Pike’s Glen Oaks

Restaurant and Glendale Travel Service.

She was a lifelong member of the philanthropic and educational

organization, PEO, a charter member of the Calimesa Kiwanis Club and

a volunteer for the Calimesa Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Scott is survived by children, Tom Scott, Donna Morales,

Martha Lamb, Patricia Scott, Russell Scott, Mary Nelson and Jean

Yount; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at Calimesa

Country Club, 1300 S. Third St., Calimesa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to donor’s charity of

choice in Mrs. Scott’s name.

SUSAN ROBERTS WOOD

Susan Roberts Wood, 57, died Aug. 1, 2003, in Burbank.

She was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Chicago and moved to Burbank

shortly before her death.

She worked at Burbank- based Warner Bros. Records Inc. for 36

years.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Larry; and two brothers.

The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Valley Funeral Home, 2121

W. Burbank Blvd. The interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in

Skokie, Ill.

Valley Funeral Home is in charge of direction.
