Lanes to be closed on 134 Freeway

Multiple lanes of the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway will be closed

intermittently during the next several days because of sound wall

construction, Caltrans officials said.

One to two lanes of the freeway will be closed between Hollywood

Way and Lankershim Boulevard today, Thursday and Friday. The closures

are expected to begin at 9 p.m. and last as late as 8 a.m. Other

sections of the Ventura Freeway as well as parts of the Hollywood

(170) Freeway and some surface streets in North Hollywood will also

be closed during construction.

The closures are part of a $6.8 million sound wall construction

project designed to reduce noise generated by freeway traffic along

the corridor, Caltrans officials said.
