Center helps senior homeowners, renters
MAGNOLIA PARK -- Joslyn Adult Center will provide assistance to
qualified seniors who are filling out forms for the state’s
homeowners and renters rebate program through Aug. 28.
Those who need assistance can make appointments from 9 to 10 a.m.
Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursdays at the center,
1301 W. Olive Ave.
To qualify, candidates must be either 62 or older, legally blind
or disabled. Their household income in 2002 must be $37,676 or less.
Those interested in assistance must bring their federal and state tax
returns from 2002, their 2002-03 property tax bill, and proof of age
or disability.

Jaycees host monthly social
MEDIA CITY CENTER -- The Burbank Junior Chamber of Commerce, also
known as the Burbank Jaycees, will host an evening of socializing and
networking Thursday night.
A nonprofit international organization for business men and women
21 to 40, the group will host its monthly social beginning at 7:15
p.m. at Crabby Bob’s, 600 N. First St.
Admission is free for members and $5 for guests. For more
