HILLSIDE DISTRICT
* 800 block of East Elmwood Avenue: A 20-year-old Burbank man and
a 21-year-old Glendale man were arrested Thursday on suspicion of
hitting three men with baseball bats during a fight. The three
victims reported the incident to police, but when arrested, the two
men claimed the others had attacked them with crowbars.
MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH
* 1212 N. San Fernando Road: A man reportedly brandished a handgun
while robbing Blockbuster Video on Thursday. Employees told police
the man walked into the store about 9:18 a.m., showed them a handgun
in the waistband of his pants and demanded cash. After taking the
money, he ran away and police were unable to locate him.
* 1700 block of Grismer Avenue: A 20-year-old Burbank man was
arrested Wednesday on suspicion of punching his wife, and a
17-year-old Burbank boy was arrested for hitting the man with a
baseball bat. Police said the man hit his wife in the face while the
two were walking along the street. The 17-year-old boy then
approached the man and hit him with the bat, police said.
