REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY COOPERATION AGREEMENT
WHAT HAPPENED
The board unanimously approved a cooperation agreement with the
Redevelopment Agency.
WHAT IT MEANS
The purpose of the agreement is for the Redevelopment Agency to
pay or provide funding in an amount equal to the assessment billed or
owed by the district in connection with the district’s parking-lot
property at Glenoaks Boulevard and Orange Grove Avenue, in the
newly-established property-based assessment district in downtown
Burbank.
SCHOOL LUNCH PRICES
WHAT HAPPENED
The board unanimously approved an increase in the price of school
lunches, effective Sept. 1, for the coming school year.
WHAT IT MEANS
Elementary school lunch prices will go up from $1.75 to $2. High school lunch prices will increase from $2 to $2.25. The increase will
add $80,000 to school district revenues.
APPOINTMENT OF CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES
WHAT HAPPENED
The board unanimously approved the appointments of two assistant
principals.
WHAT IT MEANS
Roni Andrus was appointed assistant principal at Miller Elementary
School, while Hani Youssef was appointed assistant principal of
discipline at Burbank High School.
