Saks spree to benefit medical center

MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- Beginning today, shoppers at Saks Fifth

Avenue in Pasadena will help raise money to benefit women’s

reproductive cancer treatment at Providence St. Joseph Medical

Center.

The Pasadena store, at 35 N. DeLacey St., will donate 2% of its

sales to the Providence St. Joseph Foundation. The fund-raising drive

is called “Key to the Cure.”

Charter offers more high-definition service

Charter Communications, which serves Burbank and Glendale, has

expanded its high-definition programming. On Monday, the company

began airing KNBC-TV Channel 4 and KTTV-TV Channel 11 in its High

Definition Service lineup.

Burbank and Glendale customers with Charter High Definition

Service will be able to watch high-definition programming offered by

the Networks. For example, NBC offers shows such as “Frasier” and

“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in the high-definition format.
