TALENT REVUE BENEFITS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Patrons’ Club met Sept. 18 at the home of Pauline Richardson.
President Betty Musacco presided over the meeting at which plans were
discussed for the scholarship fund-raiser.
The luncheon will be Nov. 7 at The Castaway, 1260 Harvard Road,
Burbank. Social hour is at 11 a.m. with luncheon at noon. This year’s
theme will be “Rewards.” A talent revue will be performed by the
college students from different departments, like drama, music, etc.
Tickets are $32. For reservations, call 845-5400. To purchase
50/50 tickets, which will give the winner $1,000, call 242-7334.
Proceeds go to scholarships, grants-in-aid and emergency funds to
deserving students at Glendale Community College. To date, the group
has generated more than $500,000 for these programs.

BURBANK EMBLEM CLUB RECEIVES PROCLAMATION
Mayor Stacey Murphy presented a proclamation to the Burbank Emblem
Club #86 on Sept. 23 in honor of National Emblem Club Week Sept. 14
to 20.
The 61-year-old Burbank club volunteers and raises funds for local
charities such as the Salvation Army Burbank Corps, Burbank Temporary
Aid Center and Burbank Family Service Agency, and scholarships for
Burbank high school students and others.
Emblem Club members meet the second Thursday of the month at the
