Learn the secret of Coyote Creek Mine

HILLSIDE DISTRICT -- Get ready for a frightful night, and find out

the story behind the haunted mine shaft as the Park, Recreation and

Community Services Department and the Burbank Docents sponsor the

annual Haunted Hike Tour at Stough Park, 1335 Lockheed View Drive.

The fun begins at 7 Friday and Saturday night. This year’s theme

is “The Haunting of Coyote Creek Mine.”

An adult must accompany children younger than 12, and children younger than 6 will not be allowed due to the scary nature of the

event. Baby- sitting service will be provided while parents and older

children take the tour.

Tickets for the 15-minute program are $5 per person. Light

refreshments and souvenirs will also be sold.

Live animals, face painting and “search for gold” games will start

the fright night.

Pumpkins galore at Harvest Festival

AIRPORT DISTRICT -- Plenty of golden globes will be given away at

Providencia Elementary School, but they won’t be entertainment

awards. The school will feature a pumpkin patch at its Harvest

Festival from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Providencia is at 1919 N. Ontario St. For more information, call

558-5470.
