The following information was taken from police reports:

MAGNOLIA PARK

* 1300 block of West Olive Avenue: A 64-year-old Burbank woman

told police Wednesday that her 17-year-old granddaughter allegedly

struck her in the left arm with a phone receiver after the two argued

over a cat. The victim, who suffered a bruise, declined to have the

suspect arrested when police arrived.

MEDIA DISTRICT WEST

* Pass and Verdugo avenues: A 23-year-old Los Angeles woman was

arrested Thursday for driving under the influence.

MEDIA CITY CENTER

* 200 E. Cypress Ave.: A 57-year-old transient was arrested Friday

on suspicion of shoplifting after allegedly walking out of Macy’s

with a leather bag without paying.

NORTHWEST DISTRICT

* 3400 block of North Hollywood Way: A 26-year-old transient was

arrested Thursday on suspicion of possessing stolen property and drug

paraphernalia when police spotted him looking into cars at a

residence. Police found burglary tools, jewelry and a glass pipe

containing methamphetamine residue.

* 1800 block of North Ontario Street: A 40-year-old Burbank man

reported Thursday that the convertible top on his vehicle was ripped

and the stereo stolen.

* 1000 block of North Mariposa Street: A 50-year-old woman told

police Wednesday that her 42-year-old live-in boyfriend threw her

against a wall and then choked her 24-year-old daughter during an

argument. The man left the scene before police arrived.
