Marketeers named to posts

MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- Marketeer Dennis Rice was named senior vice

president, publicity, for Buena Vista Pictures Marketing, and Heidi

Trotta was named senior vice president of communications for Walt

Disney Studios, officials said.

Rice is a marketing veteran who is returning to Disney after a

stint as president of theatrical marketing for Miramax. Trotta joined

Disney in 1990 as director of publicity, advertising and promotions

for Walt Disney and Touchstone Television.

Thrivent opens Burbank office

HILLSIDE DISTRICT -- The Verdugo Hills Group of Thrivent Financial

for Lutherans has opened an office in Burbank at 300 E. Magnolia

Blvd., Suite 502.

The group is a nonprofit financial service organization that helps

about three million members achieve their financial goals, officials

said. Thrivent Investment Management Inc. is based in Minnesota.

NORTHWEST DISTRICT -- LAgraphico, a firm specializing in creative

imaging and promotional designs, has expanded its headquarters into a

new Burbank location at 3800 Vanowen St.

Company represent- atives said the move ensures an ability to meet

demand and cut down on client wait times.
