Fund-raiser to be held for officers’ group

A local restaurant is hosting a fund-raiser from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday

to benefit the Burbank Police Officers Assn.

Genio’s Restaurant, 1420 W. Olive Ave., will donate 15% of all

food sales to the organization, which assists officers as emergencies

arise throughout the year.

In addition, the restaurant has placed a donation jar at the

Burbank City Employees Federal Credit Union, 1800 W. Magnolia Blvd.,

to set up a trust fund for slain Burbank Police Officer Matthew

Pavelka’s unborn niece.

The jar will also raise money to assist the recovery of Officer

Gregory Campbell.
