Amber L. Beardsley and Steve M. Mills were married on the sand

surrounded by 60 family members and friends at the Radisson Beach

Resort in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. The service was officiated by the

Rev. Don Schutt, the bride’s uncle, and the Rev. Carolyn Miura.

The matron of honor was Kelly D. Beardsley-Gutierrez. The

bridesmaids were Michele Rumfola, Anne Heaphy, Melissa Zaldivar,

Whitney Scott and Nicole Wilson.

The flower girls were Jessica and Brittany Schutt.

The best man was Chris Mills. The groomsmen were Jamin

Silverstein, Peter Hosseinpour, Eric Beardsley, Carlos Gutierrez and

Mark Hermann.

Kyle Avery was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Radisson Beach Resort, Lihue. The

evening ended with sparklers in the Hawaiian air.

The couple honeymooned on the island of Maui. They are living in

Belmont.

The bride is the daughter of Janet S. and Steven B. Beardsley of

Burbank.

She attended George Washington Elementary School and John Muir

Junior High School in Burbank. She graduated from Burbank High

School. She received a bachelor’s degree in math from UC Riverside

and obtained a secondary teaching credential at Azusa Pacific

University.

While attending college, she became a member of the Kappa Kappa

Gamma sorority. She is a math teacher at Carlmont High School in the

Sequoia Union High School District.

The groom is the son of Rosita and Richard Mills of Apple Valley.

He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC

Riverside and his secondary teaching credential from San Francisco

State University. In college, he became a member of the Beta Theta Pi

fraternity.

He is a history teacher at Burlingame High School in the San Mateo

Union High School District.
