The Burbank Chamber of Commerce will host a business connection

luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at The Castaway, 1250

Harvard Road.

Holiday entertainment will be presented by the Burroughs High

School choir.

If participants RSVP by Dec. 8, the cost is $15 for chamber

members and $22 for guests. After Dec. 8, the cost is $22 for members

and $27 for guests.

House votes on trade legislation

GLENDALE -- The House of Representatives has approved legislation

that advocates say will help normalize trade relations between the

United States and Armenia. The bill calls for the U.S. to recognize

permanent trade relations status for the Republic of Armenia.

Since April, the Glendale- based Armenian American Chamber of

Commerce has spearheaded a postcard and letter-writing campaign to

members of Congress to extend the status to Armenia.
