SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT -- The management of the Holiday
Inn-Media Center will have a holiday toy drive to help those in need
beginning at 7 tonight at the hotel, 150 E. Angeleno Ave.
Burbank Police Chief Thomas Hoefel will be among those accepting
toys at the hotel.

Cable company to add new channels
BURBANK -- Charter Communications will add two new high-definition
channels to its high-definition package, company officials said.
HDNet will offer sports and entertainment programming while HDNet
Movies will offer feature films from Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures.
Charter’s high-definition lineup includes KNBC-TV Channel 4,
Discovery HD Theater, HBO and Showtime.

Chamber Holiday mixer scheduled
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- The Burbank Chamber of Commerce holiday
mixer will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 3900 W. Alameda Ave.
A $50 jackpot prize will be given away. Admission is $10 for

Free legal services to be offered to seniors
MAGNOLIA PARK -- A legal representative from Bet Tzedek legal
services will offer free legal assistance for needy seniors from 9
a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Ave.
To be eligible, participants must be at least 60 years old, be
financially needy and live in any part of Los Angeles County except
the city of Los Angeles.
