Two plead guilty to aiding alleged cop killer

The twin brother of the man accused of killing rookie Burbank Police

Officer Matthew Pavelka pleaded guilty Tuesday in Burbank Superior

Court to being an accessory after the fact.

James Garcia, 20, of Sun Valley, is scheduled to be arraigned

April 15 in the Burbank courthouse, and is expected to serve 16

months in a state prison.

Erwin DeLeon, 21, of Sun Valley, also pleaded guilty to being an

accessory after the fact, along with being in possession of a machine

gun. DeLeon is also expected to be sentenced to 16 months in a state

prison next month.

The men were accused of helping alleged cop killer David A. Garcia

evade police after the Nov. 15 shooting that left Pavelka dead and

veteran Burbank Police Officer Greg Campbell critically wounded.

David Garcia is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 4 in

Pasadena Superior Court.
