Middleton -- Kettebekov
Natasha Middleton, artistic director of Burbank’s Media City
Ballet, married her company’s principal male dancer, Askar
Kettebekov, after leaving port in Newport Beach aboard a private
chartered yacht named Dream On.
The bride wore a silk satin beaded Jean Harlow-style gown,
designed by the bride and executed by Nancy Slyke of Van Herr
Bridals. The fingertip veil was accented by a handmade Austrian
crystallized seashell- beaded hairpiece. The groom wore a black
Pierre Cardin tuxedo.
Kristen Tremaine, the bride’s niece, was the maid of honor.
Sanzhar Kettebekov, the groom’s brother, served as the best man.
Seventy-five guests watched the ceremony officiated by the bride’s
uncle, Alfred Garrotto, a justice of the peace and novelist.
The bride was given away in marriage by her father, Andrei
Tremaine, a former soloist with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and
former artistic director of the Pacific Ballet Theatre. The bride’s
brothers, Andrei Middleton and Mario Middleton, served as ushers.
Alexandria (Lexi) Wong and Keiko Hartmann, Middleton’s students, were
flower girls.
Natasha Middleton is the daughter of Natalie Garrotto- Middleton,
a former soloist with the San Francisco Opera Company and a board
member of the ballet company, and Andrei Tremaine.
Askar Kettebekov is the son of Ulfat Kettebekov and Valeria
Chultorova, who were both former professors of chemistry in
Kazakhstan, just outside of Russia. They now reside in State College,
Pa.
After the reception, the couple embarked into a gondola, before
setting off for a weeklong honeymoon cruise on the Mediterranean Sea.
The couple will reside in Burbank.
