KENNEL ATTENDANT POSITION CONSIDERED

WHAT HAPPENED

The City Council decided to consider reinstating a kennel

attendant position for the police department.

WHAT IT MEANS

The city may bring back a second kennel attendant position that

had been eliminated from the city budget. The police department would

like a second attendant because officials are dealing with a higher

number of animals at the shelter that are staying there longer. The

estimated cost for the position is $48,000.
