Man pleads not guilty in child molestation case

A not guilty plea was entered by a Sylmar man charged with molesting

a young girl.

Jhonny Carias, 22, entered the plea Thursday during an appearance

in Burbank Superior Court.

He is scheduled to appear in court again Jan. 18.

Carias was arrested Dec. 1 by Glendale Police after he was caught

prowling outside the window of a teenage girl. Investigators then

pieced together that Carias was a suspect in an August incident of

molesting a 12-year-old girl in Burbank, officers said.

Carias remains in the Los Angeles County Jail on $1.1-million

bond.
