Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Johnathan B. Hauptfuhrer, son of Stephan
P. McIlvaine of Burbank, and Barndt Hauptfuhrer of Bronxville, N.Y.,
is in the middle of a routine scheduled deployment, while assigned to
the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, homeported in Bremerton, Wash.
Hauptfuhrer is a 1991 graduate of Bronxville High School in
Bronxville, N.Y. and joined the Navy in June 1993.
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Phil K. Flores, son of Manuela N. and
Oscar A. Flores of Burbank, recently returned from a routine
scheduled deployment, while assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 105
(VFA-105), homeported in Norfolk, Va.
Flores is a 2001 graduate of Burbank High School and joined the
Navy in August 2001.
Navy Reserve Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Ramsey, son of Mary
E. Ramsey of Burbank, and the reserve Sailors of Naval Expeditionary
Logistics Support Force (NAVELSF) Forward Group Oscar, based out of
Williamsburg, Va., are in the middle of a routine scheduled
deployment to Camp Patriot, Kuwait.
Ramsey's unit has been working directly with the Army to provide
critical combat logistics support to Soldiers and Marines in Iraq and
Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Ramsey is a 1979 graduate of John Burroughs High School.
