Spirit Squad offers car wash, breakfast

John Burroughs High School Spirit Squad will have a dual

fundraiser Saturday. Students will raise money for the squad with a

pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. and car washes from 9 a.m. to 3

p.m. at John Burroughs High School, 1920 W. Clark Ave.

Tickets for the breakfast are $4, $6 for the car wash. For more

Board president to hold petition drive

School Board President Paul Krekorian will have an informal coffee

gathering from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday to discuss Gov. Arnold

Schwarzenegger’s proposals for education.

Guests can sign a petition demanding repayment of $2 billion

borrowed from education funding and can learn more about how the

governor’s proposals could impact Burbank schools. The meeting is at

7663 Glencrest Drive.

Those not attending are invited to complete a petition form and
