Students gear up for university programs

Several students from Providence High School will spend their

summers attending academic and enrichment programs at universities.

Corwin Sanchez, 17, will attend the Pepperdine University Youth

Citizenship Seminar on Monday through July 1.

Richard Manirath, 17, and Matthew-Ryan Benzinger, 16, were awarded scholarships to study at Art Center College of Design this summer.

Emily Franklin, 17, was accepted into the pre-college summer program

at Rhode Island School of Design at Brown University. She will focus

on ceramics.

Tiffany delaCruz, 17, will participate in the Duke University’s

business program through July 9.

Carly DeFrancesco, 16, will take a psychology class through USC

Summer Seminars during July.
