Jefferson places at BRAVO awards

Thomas Jefferson Elementary won first runner-up at the Los Angeles County Music Center Educational Division BRAVO Awards, in the schools category.

Principal Esther Salinas represented the school Tuesday at their annual gala in the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

The award is for excellence in arts programs at schools. Salinas was presented with the BRAVO Award’s statue at the event for first runner-up.

Jefferson was also presented with a certificate of commendation from the city of Los Angeles.

Bravo Awards are presented in three categories, which include school, arts specialist teachers and a general classroom teacher.
