SATURDAY

Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday on San Fernando Boulevard from Magnolia Boulevard to Angeleno Avenue. The festival features more than 100 artists selling original works and demonstrating and discussing their craft. Admission is free. There will be live musical entertainment, pottery wheel demonstrations and chalk artists. The event is produced by Downtown Burbank Partnership in cooperation with West Coast Artists. “The Ohmies!” children’s musical opens at 1 p.m. at the Falcon Theatre, 4252 Riverside Drive, Burbank. A colorful cast of characters provides an interactive experience with the audience while teaching life lessons and demonstrating basic yoga for children while singing and dancing to various musical styles, including African percussion, Latin salsa, hip-hop, Jamaican, traditional American and Eastern Indian. Performances are at 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 5. Tickets are $12, $10 for children 12 and younger. For reservations, call (818) 955-8101.

The Media City Ballet and Natasha Middleton, artistic director and choreographer, present “The Men of the Ballet Russes,” at 7 p.m. in the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, 4401 W. 8th St., Los Angeles. The event is a tribute performance honoring legendary dancers George Zoritch, Marc Platt, Victor Moreno, Paul Maure and Andrei Tremaine. The program includes dances, originally danced by the men of the Ballet Russes, performed by members of the Media City Ballet Company and guest artists. SUNDAY

The Towne Singers, featuring the debut of new musical director Mark Aaron Humphrey, will present music of Leonard Bernstein in the show titled “Bernstein Story” at 6 p.m. at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.
