The following items are scheduled to be discussed at Thursday night’s Burbank Unified School District board meeting:

Auditor Karin Nelson will review the district’s 2006-07 annual financial report. The report’s more than 80 pages outline the district’s statement of assets, activities, cash flows, expenditures and balances for the year.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The board will not take action on this item immediately but will ask questions and make statements regarding the audit.

Later in the meeting, the board will vote on whether to accept the financial report.

Board members will most likely accept the report.

Board members will consider approving the appointment of a middle school assistant principal. If approved, the candidate would begin work Monday. The candidate’s name will be announced at the board meeting.

Board members will approve this position to be filled.

Board members will consider approving the appointment of an assistant director of special education. The newly created position was added to the district’s payroll this year to assist the director of special education. If approved, the candidate would begin work Monday.
