ENGAGEMENT

MCDOWELL — MEESTER

Joanna Kristen McDowell and Christopher Paul Meester have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Sharon McDowell of Burbank. She is a 1997 graduate of John Burroughs High School and a 2001 graduate of UCLA. She is entering into the doctoral program at Walden University and is employed as a first-grade teacher in Canyon Country.

The groom-to-be is the son of Ross and Rita Meester of Fortine, Mont. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1994 and the University of Montana in 2003. He is employed as a 10th-grade history teacher in Antelope Valley and also coaches wrestling and track.

A September wedding is planned in Temecula.
