Interior designer to speak at a colorful seminar

The California Council for Interior Design Certification will present noted interior designer and color expert Zara Stender in a two-part seminar from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m Saturday at the Marriott Courtyard at Bob Hope Airport, 2100 Empire Ave.

During part one, “Color Trends and the Function of Color,” Stender will discuss the role of color in fashion and durable goods.

In part two, “The Psychology of Color,” participants will explore the biological and psychological impact of color.

Barnes & Noble Booksellers at the Burbank Town Center will open at 8 a.m. Saturday to celebrate the release of “Brisingr,” the third book in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. The first 50 customers to purchase the book will receive free giveaways.
