BURBANK TEMPORARY AID CENTER

The Burbank Temporary Aid Center is looking for volunteers for the following positions:

Intake Assistants — Interview clients, assess the needs and meet the needs as necessary.

Pantry Workers — Receive donations, sort and shelve goods and prepare pantry orders for clients.

Fundraising Committee — Work with the board of directors to assist with developing the resources necessary to keep the agency in business.

Food Drive Organizers — Groups, churches and individuals can make arrangements to collect food for BTAC at their own venue or at a local market.

PROVIDENCE ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER

The Senior Outreach Department at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is looking for volunteers who can give two to three hours a month to help homebound seniors. Volunteers are needed to give a senior a ride to the doctor, shop for groceries or pay a friendly visit. BURBANK HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Burbank Historical Society is looking for people interested in becoming volunteers and docents for the Gordon R. Howard Museum, 1015 W. Olive Ave., Burbank.

The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All necessary training is provided free of charge, and volunteers should be willing to donate one to two days per month during regular operating hours.

The museum includes an 1887 Victorian home complete with period furnishings and outstanding collections of Lockheed memorabilia, vintage automobiles, and many other interesting artifacts on Burbank’s unique history.

BURBANK ANIMAL SHELTER

The Burbank Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to care for kittens in their homes until they are ready for adoption. The shelter’s program cares for kittens up to 3-months-old.
