TICKTOCKERS HONORED FOR VOLUNTEERISM

The Burbank Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. Ticktocker Class of 2009, was introduced at the Senior Presentation at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in February.

Family and friends joined in celebrating the accomplishments of these 16 young ladies. Over the past six years these presentees have served the community by volunteering more than 9,750 hours at local philanthropies such as BCR — “a place to grow,” Burbank Family Service Agency, Burbank Temporary Aid Center, Burbank Boys & Girls Club and the Burbank Dental Clinic, to name a few.

The presentees are: Elyssa Victoria Alarcon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emilio Alarcon; Elke Nicole Besvold, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Chris Besvold; Haley Elizabeth-Rose Hanna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hanna; and Christine Marie Horne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Horne.

National Charity League, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering mother-daughter relationships in philanthropic endeavors within the community. The daughters, known as Ticktockers, participate in a six-year program of philanthropic work, leadership development, social events, and cultural activities.
