PROVIDENCE ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER

The Ralph M. Parsons Blood Donor Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center needs blood donors. All blood donations will be used to help patients in the San Fernando Valley. Donation hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday. For an appointment or more information, call (800) 469-9555.

RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) seeks volunteers 55 and older to assist in various programs, including computer and Internet assistance, the Simple Will Program, and free electronic tax return assistance. Duties will include arranging and scheduling appointments, arranging reservations, selling gift certificates, collecting donations and mailing out paperwork. Volunteers 55 and older are also needed to provide companionship to terminally ill patients and their families at Verdugo Hospice, 4170 N. Verdugo Road, Burbank. BURBANK FARMERS MARKET
