Transient died accidentally

Authorities on Tuesday said the 41-year-old transient man found dead in the backyard of a vacant home this weekend died of accidental blunt force trauma.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County coroner's office said the body of Wilson Tubalado, a transient living in Burbank, suffered fatal blows resulting from an accident, but would not specify what part of the body sustained the injuries.

The man was discovered early Saturday in the backyard of a vacant home in the 500 block of North Orchard Drive, Sgt. Robert Quesada said.

A construction worker arriving to make repairs to the home found Tubalado in the yard and called police, authorities said. Investigators do not suspect foul play, but were awaiting the results of the coroner's investigation, Quesada said.

Neighbors reportedly told investigators that the property had been vacant for some time while the owner carried out repairs to the home.
