Creatasphere announces new DAMMY Awards

Burbank-based Creatasphere Digital Asset Management will host the first DAMMY Awards during its conference in New York this fall.

The DAMMY’s recognize excellence in innovative digital and media asset management technology, methods and services, the company said.

‘Peanuts’ get the Blu-ray treatment

Burbank-based Warner Bros. Home Video is set to release its “Peanuts Holiday Collection” pack on Blu-ray high-definition. The pack is comprised of three specials, including “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and will retail for $42.93, the company announced.

The packs include the Blu-ray and DVD editions of the specials.

AMC Theatres hosts MovieCamp

AMC Theatres’ Summer MovieCamp is being held at 214 movie theaters across the nation, through Aug. 10.

For $1 admission, patrons can enjoy a past release such as “Kung Fu Panda” on Tuesday, or “The Spiderwick Chronicles” on Aug. 3.

Doors open at 9 a.m.; show time is at 10 a.m. Tickets for each week’s show go on sale about one week in advance.

Proceeds from admissions and concessions go to charities, including the Will Rogers Institute and Variety: The Children’s Charity.

Burbank’s participating AMC is at 125 E. Palm Ave.
