Bicyclist hit, suffers minor injuries

A 65-year-old bicyclist sustained minor injuries Thursday when he was hit by a driver on Victory Boulevard at Chestnut Street.

The collision occurred at 10:10 a.m. when Gary Edwards’ bike handlebars were clicked by a passing car, police said.

Edwards fell to the ground and hit his head. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for bumps and scrapes, police officials said.

The collision was still under investigation.
