Police Report
The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.
AREA 1
1800 block of North Maple Street
At 6:05 p.m. Sept. 6, a residential garage burglary occurred. No suspects were seen, but a large amount of power tools and vending machines were taken from the residence.
400 block of East Palm Avenue
At 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6, a Dewalt paint sprayer, a generator and a compressor were stolen from a residential garage.
AREA 2
200 block of East Magnolia Avenue
At noon Sept. 4, a man drove up to an 88-year-old woman who is partially blind and grabbed her purse. The suspect was described as being Asian or Latino, 25 years old and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He reportedly drove off in a white or silver, newer small sedan.
Intersection of South Glenoaks Boulevard and East Elmwood Avenue
A 73-year-old woman was approached by a man while walking on the side of the road at 8:57 p.m. Sept. 7. The man grabbed the purse off the woman’s shoulder and pushed her to the ground. The man, described as black, 5 feet to 5 feet 6 inches tall with a large build, short hair and as wearing all black, could not be found when police arrived on scene.
