The following were taken from reports filed with the Burbank Police Department.

AREA 1

Intersection of North San Fernando Boulevard and Walnut Avenue

At 7 p.m. Sept. 30, three men were arrested for conspiracy, drug possession for sales and burglary after attempting to pass counterfeit $100 bills at a pharmacy and a grocery store. Small bags of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana were found on Carlos Toledo, 33, of Arleta, Luis Santoyo, 42, of North Hills, and Fernando Gonzalez, 24.

1100 block of West Alameda Avenue

At 4 p.m. Sept. 28, a man walked into a Pavilions market and ran out of the store into a waiting taxi with two shopping bags full of alcohol. The suspect escaped with approximately $900 worth of alcohol. Police could not find any men matching the suspect’s description.

AREA 2

100 block of North 5th Street

At 6:15 p.m. Sept. 28, unknown person(s) entered St. Bellarmine Catholic Church and scattered several written notes throughout the church. The notes contained references to sexual abuse cases involving Catholic priests. No suspects were seen, and the only damage observed was to a tablecloth.

Intersection of South Glenoaks Boulevard and Spazier Avenue

At 4:55 Sept. 30, a man snatched a 53-year-old woman’s necklace from her neck. The man escaped into a waiting, older white van. The police were unable to find any possible subjects after an area search.
