Loved the story on the Learned family

I was so pleased to see the interesting article on the Learned family (“Adopting an open heart,” Nov. 11).

I also would like to welcome them to Burbank. I have known Jeff and Maureen since Shanna was a baby, and I have always admired them. They are the most devoted and loving parents that any child could have. It is good to see them recognized in the lovely article by Megan O’Neil.

If there was ever a family that personified love and caring, the Learneds are that family.
